Jack Willgoss from Wildgoose Nursery, Millichope Park, Munslow, is coming to talk to us on late summer colour.  See the web site here.  He is calling his talk 'A late summer love affair'.
Jack and partner Laura specialise in hardy, perennial Violas, with a continually expanding collection of over 150 varieties, comprising of old favourites and the best new introductions.  They have written on their web site -
"The Bouts Viola collection was established in 1978 by Mark and Stephanie Roberts.  Their passion and dedication to ‘all things Viola’ has not only helped to preserve many old and rare varieties that might otherwise have been lost, but also led to the introduction of many new varieties, of which Elaine Quin, Perry’s Pride, Mark’s Dainty and Isabel are to name but a few.
In August 2011 Mark and Stephanie Roberts retired and we, here at Wildegoose Nursery, have been fortunate enough to take on this wonderful collection.
The idea for Wildegoose Nursery began back at RHS Garden Wisley in 2006 where we met as trainees and dreamt of having a beautiful garden and nursery business of our own. Well 5 years on the garden project has started with our move into the walled garden at Millichope Park and the violas are doing well in their new home in the beautiful Shropshire Hills."
