Ingrid Millington from Hillview Hardy Plants – The Dry Garden (no comments about recent weather please!)

Hillview is a well-regarded nursery near Bridgnorth. They are regular exhibitors & medal winners at RHS Flower Shows, winning, amongst others, a gold at Malvern last year. They are also to be the Master Growers at this year’s Malvern Spring Show.

Hopefully, she will be bringing some plants with her.

 

As usual 7.00 for 7.30pm at Caynham Village Hall, there will be a raffle & don’t forget to bring something for the competition – a single stem of something looking good in your garden at the moment.

 Bulbous Perenials - Talk by Richard Rawlings

Bulbous perennials - Bulbs are very much associated with Spring but this talk highlights the wide range of bulbs available throughout the seasons and considers tips for the successful growing of bulbs and imaginative planting schemes.

Richard  and his wife Jill have a plant nursery within the Victorian Walled Garden of Delbury Hall in Diddlebury, Shropshire. Whether you are a novice beginning to develop your garden or a keen horticulturalist, you will find something to interest you at Mynd Hardy Plants; a perfect haven for both garden lovers and horticulturalists. 

They offer an extensive and increasing range of hardy perennials for sale including collections of asters, hardy geraniums, hemerocallis and penstemon.  They have also introduced a range of alpines available in the Spring. The nursery featured on BBC Gardeners World on April 17th 2015.

Sam and his wife Kate have not bought vegetables for over 15 years.  As well as growing fruit and vegetables, they also keep bees, goats, geese and chickens on their two acre small-holding in Shropshire and produce electricity via solar panels.
